Lookie what I found!! Twiggy would die if she saw this!! Yay for the Doctor!!
This first part by dracothan. Here's some background information: Ten-Inch (as I believe I've pointed out) is Scottish, so some of what he says in this comic is Scottish slang. The artist is also Scottish, so it's authentic. Teehee...Scottish slang is cool. As for the characters, the Doctor is the Doctor, John is Joseph Merrick, Billie Piper is Billie Piper/Rose, and Amy is the artist.
This next one (and the last unfortch) is by JesIdres whose done other Doctor fanart, as well as Discworld fanart. She's neato. The characters are (from left to right) Casanova, the Doctor, and Carlisle (from Blackpool)
So that's it for today mateys. I've got some work to do, which I probably won't do. But yeah, have fun with the Doctor!
So my day was boring, which is normal for the weekend. And most days of the week. Nonetheless, I'm going to recount the days events as I wait for my download to finish (just 11 more minutes left!) and because I'm bored. And I don't want to practice. Right, shall we continue? So I woke up, had breakfast and read some articles in this weeks Newsweek. I then preceded to laze around on my computer and wish my sister a happy 21st birthday. Sometime after that mums and I went to get lunch (Five Guys) and I noticed that I was incredibly thirsty. Went home, had lunch and a diet Coke, then waited for mums to finish what she was doing on the computer so that we could go get my contacts and have my glasses adjusted. Went, did that, got dad guitar strings, then proceeded to the Oakton Music and Arts store to get him earplugs. Finally we arrived back home and I got myself a huge glass of water because I was thirsty again. I read Entertainment Weekly cover to cover (kind of) and then got back on my computer. Somewhere in there I thought about the aftermath of a certain situation and came to the conclusion that I came to yesterday, which is to fuck it all and live my life. I then read bits and pieces of an article on Wikipedia about Casanova and read the whole article on Wikipedia about Madame de Pampadour. I searched for "Blackpool" a miniseries with Ten-Inch in it, found that it really hasn't be released in the states and bookmarked a link to the amazon.co.uk for the dvd of "Blackpool." Did some more shit, had mums tell me that I needed to practice my clarinet, found a really good icon to add to my Doctor Who collection (It's Sonic!), and then found that someone had made a mix that had this song I really wanted and that the link for just that song doesn't work, so now I have finished downloading the whole damn thing so I could have that song. And now I have pretty graphics too, quite the bonus. So off I go to pratice. Yay.

This past week has reminded me why relations with people are aggravating, annoying, and at times needlessly complicated. It also reminded me why imaginary relationships are so much easier to deal with. Unfortunantly I can't avoid real relationships, but thankfully the ones I have now are fairly simple, especially if I don't fuss around too much. I don't like drama, never have, never will, and so I'm forsaking anything dramatic. I feel better when I'm not having mental break downs and hissy fits all the time, so I'm just going to kiss off the dramatic and focus on me. That means Dr. Who, Kaiser Chiefs, British rock music, and Terry Pratchett will reign supreme with my friends giving me the added bonuses of manga, anime, yoai, pervertedness, and insanity. I like it better that way. So much simpler. The only drama I like is the kind not involving me and more than likely involving the Gilmore Girls. So much more fun. So there, a declaration of my intentions. I feel so much better now. And now, lyrics: All songs by Air Traffic Never Even Told Me Her Name Suzy was a glad-rag-clad clown run-around Never even told me her name But I found it in a half-burnt pin-up Polaroid Smiling through the wall at her place
Looking at her bed, I sat Sucking on a cigarette Wonder why I bothered to chase When I'm tired of making time I'm tired of making time
So I slip away on the story line I heard you on the Radio you were screaming out you grabbed me by my Heart and soul through the speakercone electric hands and Touched my face seemed to say we are here,we are
Suzy tried to call said "I'm not waiting for You to come and sweep me away" It isn't that I don't care I'm just all wired up Trying to think of something to say
Clinging to a credit card Waiting for the phone to stop Take me back to heaven again 'cus I'm tired of making time I'm tired of making sound
So I slip away on the story line I heard you on the Radio you were screaming out you grabbed me by my Heart and soul through the speakercone electric hands and Touched my face seemed to say we are here,we are
Oh oh oh oh oh oh oh
Don't stop Don't stop I'm coming Down where I can find my feet again
So I slip away on the story line I heard you on the Radio you were screaming out you grabbed me by my Heart and soul through the speakercone electric hands and Touched my face seemed to say we are here,we are
Just Abuse Me I never knew you But now I'm haunted by your past, How long will this last?
I thought you loved me, You say you love me, Loves just a shadow that you cast.
And all my dreams come round in threes always Im independent but I'm tied to you You lied to me, I'd die for you But I can't read your mind.
I'm lost without you An empty feeling deep inside I want to run and hide
I'll let you use me And just abuse me But girl I want you to be mine
And all my dreams come round in threes always Im independent but I'm tied to you You lied to me, I'd die for you But I can't read your mind.
And all my dreams come round in threes always Im independent but I'm tied to you You lied to me, I'd die for you But I can't read your mind

I can't do this anymore. It's just that simple. I can't lie to him, I can't pretend that I feel differently than I do. I know it will hurt him, but it's killing me, so I'll be selfish and just tell him the truth. If there were a nice way to say "I've lying to you, I don't feel that way about you" I would, but there isn't a nice way. There's just the truth. It hurts, but it's better than being lied to. And there's no easy way to explain things, nothing that can be said to make it easier for him or for me. But my gut and my nerves will kill me if I don't just admit the truth. So I tell him the truth, crush his soul, break his heart, calm my nerves and know that in some small way I'm better than the person who broke my heart. At least I'll have that.
In checking my sites this morning I saw a headline on NME that chilled my blood and gave me flash backs to Brandon Flowers before "Sam's Town" was released. It read "Kaiser Chiefs condemn current indie scene." I just kept thinking "Please let Rick not have said, please let it have been one of the other band members." I didn't read NME's blip about what they said, instead I read DiS's take on it. First of all it was Nick who said that the indie scene was shite, and secondly his main complaint was that there isn't anything original about the scene. Which, interestingly enough is very similar to the complaint I made while I was only listening to the Beatles, that everything sounded the same.
In light of this I thought "Well what are they saying about their supports? That they aren't any good or something? And aren't they part of the indie scene (as DiS pointed out)?" So many questions, so few answers. I then decided that the best route to take would be to listen to some of these new bands that are so "average" and make up my own mind about the new indie scene. I haven't made a decision yet, but I do know one thing: If a band called the Twang is the next big thing in Nick Hodgson's mind, thank God 7digital is giving 30 second previews of the songs on their new album because otherwise "Yours Truly, Angry Mob" would be coming under some very hard scrutiny from this listener.
On a related side note, have I mentioned recently that I'm an music snob and no, I don't care that I am? Because I am a music snob and I don't care that I am. I have my taste in music and Mika ain't it. God Sophs is aggravating.
I'm sitting here, mostly bored, listening to everyone talk around me. It's rather fun actually. Anyway, that's not the point. The point is that I'm so bored that I'm looking at Metacritic.com's upcoming release schedule and found this out: Kings of Leon and Maximo Park release their album on the same day. Totally awsome. Also, Arctic Monkeys have given a release date for the States. It's the day after it's released everywhere else. So, let's see. In the grand total of brownie points I would say that Arctic Monkeys get...300 points. Kaiser Chiefs get...50 points and that's simply because their coming back to the 9:30 club and I love Ricky. Otherwise I think they would be in the negatives by now. So yeah. Arctic Monkeys might have to be my new favourite band. Maybe. Well I better be getting off. Techincally I'm not even suppose to be on this computer, but ya know, Mrs. Thompson loves me. Hopefully she won't figure out that we've been using the computers this afternoon. :)
No, I'm not particularly stressed out at the moment (just residually stressed constantly), but I've got an awful headache from reading tiny print without my reading glasses for about two hours. Yeah, that was a good move on my part. Anyway, I've figured out that an exploding brain kind of sounds like a fizzle or something like that. But yeah, my head definitely feels like it's a very bad mood. So, for some reason I decided to check things online this morning and in the course of things I found out that Arctic Monkeys arereleasing their newalbum in April. Needless to say the first thing I did was secretly congratulate them on being much faster than Kaiser Chiefs at recording their second album. I then noticed that the only dates given involved Mondays, which is not when albums are released in the States. So, that begs the question when will the album be released in the states? I then checked my handy-dandy guide to all releases and saw that they had the April 23rd release date and a nice little note next to the album title: "UK only; US release TBD." I love Arctic Monkeys for being so damn quick, but the least they could do is tell me when it's being released here. Oh well, Arctic Monkeys get continual brownie points for having written "A Certain Romance. This afternoon, as usual, I checked my music websites for interesting news, or any news of any kind. At DIY I also check the features section because they usually have something of interest for me to read. That's when I discovered this. I just looked at the headline and thought, "This is incredibly cruel" and proceeded to copy the link and not actually look at the real article. I don't know if I will because I'd go mad (or more insane than I am at the moment) listening to 30 second snippets of the new album. Absolutely bonkers. But we shall see, it is horribly tempting. In other KC news, Radio 1 is holding a cruel little contest for tickets to a gig I wouldn't be able to go to anyway. The band had this to say about the whole thing, which I found amusing. Also today in the UK the band released "Ruby" digitally, which means that me and my illegal copy will be friends for a little while longer. As for me? I had Broadway Night rehearsal which was dull and cold and lasted far too long. Not much else happened today really. Jackie freaked about Loghman's confession, but otherwise the day was very uneventful. As most days are. I like them that way. But yes, in just a little more than two days I'll finally get to relax a bit. All the stupid IB stuff I've been stressing about will be over and I'll get to concentrate on being horribly stressed out about getting into Mary Washington. What bliss. Edit: I listened to the previews and I suggest you listen to them, but I will say this: Rick doesn't sing on one of the tracks. I'm not sure who it is (my guess is Nick), but I know it isn't Rick. Teehee. Happiness is Ricky singing.
At 11am this morning Loghman told me he likes me. About 20 minutes ago, Loghman told me it wouldn't work, family approval etc. In between I read, finished getting dressed, had lunch, looked at a dress, and played a few hands of solitaire. I worried a little about the fact that, for all intensive purposes, I was leading the poor man on, but mostly I was just reading. So there you have it folks my threeish hour romance with Loghman. At least he finally admitted the fact that he likes me. And now I don't have to worry about leading him on. In other news I was looking around deviant art yesterday and founded some very interesting pieces of fanart, mostly to do with Doctor Who, but one concerning the Discworld series by Terry Pratchett. So here they are, for your enjoyment:
And now something for everyone who's read "Hamlet": The Comedie of Hamlet, Prince of Denmark by reina_isabella. I know it's not a picture but it's fucking brilliant, even if you don't like/know anything about Doctor Who. As one last thing before I say adieu, would you like a jelly baby? [Instructions: Scroll to the bottom of the linked page and enjoy] Now, adieu
I need a subtitle that reads: I'm a Jealous and Bitter Girl. Sadly neither of my blogging programs let me have subtitles, so you'll just have to imagine the subtitle underneath my Monty Python's Flying Circus stolen title. Anyway, moving on. I've got a bunch of articles that I want to post tonight and each has a little story, kind of. So let's start with the one that reminded me of the Monty Python episode, that my title is stolen from. I should have known it wasn't Ricky. Ricky, thus far, has always CAPSLOCKED his journal entries. Nonetheless I was hopeful. Instead I get a lot of "..." and very little Ricky. I must admit though, I was slightly jealous that Whitey met SimonPegg, but otherwise, I was just disappointed it wasn't Ricky. Yes this does indicate insanity. Speaking of the Meteor Awards I saw this on the Arctic Monkey's website and vaguely remembered them being nominated and being not at all surprised that they won. By this point I'll be shocked if any European music award shindig doesn't give at least one award to Arctic Monkeys. Very, very shocked. I really, really "If Looks Could Kill." Honestly, I really, really do. So much so that I bought the friggin' album even though "If Looks Could Kill" is one of two songs that I like off it, just so I could have the song on my mp3 player legally. So I'm glad DIY like too. Yay for being of the same opinion yet again. And now for the horrible green-eyed monster that lives in me and only comes out when someone gets to meet someone that I really wish I could meet, or does something I really wish I could do. That person is my age and is named Heather. And goddammit to hell she was at the KC listening party and has now met/seen Alex Kapranostwice in one week. Yes, I'm completely ridiculous. No, I don't care that I'm completely and absolutely ridiculous. I'm completely and utterly jealous of this woman, who is my age, and seems to have this ridiculously amazing life that involves listening parties and meeting uber-cool people who I admire from afar. Damn her. And damn R, just because. >_< I need some angry music, but right now I'm listening to "Ruby" for the umpteenth million time this week. I don't think I even own any really angry music. But now would be an excellent time for some angry music. Oh well.
I've got things to post, I've got things to post!! Yay for not actually having a life, but plenty of outside resources!!!
And he finally updates. :hugs: He's so cute I just want to hug him and squeeze him and...other things. >_> HE'S SO CUTE!!! I can't stand it.
The end of the last chapter finished with..."everybody wants a piece of Kaiser Chiefs". Read the whole thing if you have no idea of what happened after the release "Employment" or just want a nice recap of the past 2 years in the life of KC. Personally I can't believe that Filter has them as one of their "Artists to Watch." Honestly if you haven't been watching them, where the hell have you been? Attack of the Titts!!! Omg, when I read that I just couln't believe what I was reading. Mind you it took me awhile to move my eyes from the picture (see here) to the actual article, but nonetheless. Attack of the Titts. Not to be believed.
Well that's it my pretties. Go read the blog because damnit, it makes me happy. ^_^ Fangirls rock.
There are two reasons as to why I could be in a good mood. The first is that I've just gotten for the second time in two weeks. The second (and far more plausible) is that I've been watching more Ten-Inch clips on youtube (thank you Sophs) and am now listening to peppy music. British peppy music. So Ten-Inch is dead sexy and I love Scottish accents. Or his Scottish accent specifically. Or just any accent found in the United Kingdom. Because honestly they're all sexy. But Ten-Inch is definitely sexy. Even with a beard and kilt. Or 90's floppy hair, very short hair, long side burns, no side burns. In fact even with contacts in that make him have scary blue eyes, he's still sexy. It's like R, sexy no matter what. In other Doctor news, I went through the Outpost Gallifrey database of Dr. Who episodes to figure out who was who in that picture I posted awhile ago have come up with the following* list. I then discovered that the artist had kindly given us the list already which made feel like idiot, but soldiered on anyway to complete the list. Thus far the Doctor (including the one after Rose, even though that season hasn't begun) has had 19 female companions. I didn't bother with the male ones, or the "only lasted one freakin' episode" ones, or Barbara from the first Doctor. Basically anyone who wasn't from the comic isn't included. Still, that's a lot. The Doctor be pimpin'. :...: Anyway, here's the list *Susan (the very first companion) Vickie Dodo (what an awful name) Polly Victoria Zoe Elizabeth (otherwise known as Liz and also the first one in colour) Jo Sarah Jane Smith (becuase that's her name goddamnit -_-) Leela Romana Romana II (she was a Time Lord, so she regenerated into a blonde) Nyssa (how would pronounce that?) Tegan (aaaahhhhh!! Tegan and Sara, god kill them all!!) Peri (Teehee, she has a guy name) Melanie (according to the description, she's obsessed with keeping the Doctor trim) Ace (the last TV companion until Rose) Grace (the main Dr. Who movie companion) Rose (the one saying "I thought I was special") Martha (The new one, aka not pictured) See, a lot.
1. Would you rather have a fun job that doesn't pay well or a boring job that does? Fun job that pays me enough to by CDs and food. And pay the rent and such things. So I think my actual answer is the boring job that pays well.
2. Would you sacrifice your morals for a job? No.
3. Would you ever take a job that requires you to be in costume? Possibly, though it would really depend on the costume.
4. What is your fantasy job? Music critic for DIY. Or techie for KC.
5. Would you like fries with that? No, thank you.
So, now an announcement. A rather medium sized one too. I got into CNU, my last choice, last ditch choice. I was more surprised that I found out so soon. I was expecting it later, like mid to late February. But no, I found out today, rather obviously. It was written (quite literally) all over the envelope. So that's rather exciting. I've now got two choices come May 1st. And I got UNO's out of the whole thing. So yay for me!
Now links. First some bad news. Certain uber-special people in NYC got to hear the KC album over two months early. The bastards. Also happening in NYC, tonight, the band is DJ'ing for the Filter Magazine club night. Continuing on this theme, should I or shouldn't I? That very last bit (If you're interested in working in the music industry some day, this is an excellent way to get started!) kind of makes wonder if I should. But then again, I want to be a music critic, so does that count as the music industry? I'll be at the show. I can be creative. Oh, I don't know! Damn you Kaiser Chiefs!! This makes me both cry and laugh. But really, all I could think was "God, Pete Wentz is a twat." But then I read this and thought, "Yay for people who aren't Pete Wentz!" Yeah, I loathe that man. This just in. Just read the article, thingy. And that picture just makes me sick. Or extraordinaryly jealous. You pick. Now I have to go read the Filter article on it. There looked like there was a picture of Rick. Oh god I'm obsessed.
Actually that's not entirely true. Some are releasingalbums over here. Some won't admit they're coming for the festivals and are also releasing an album. Lotsaredoingboth. Others are just coming for the festivals. All in all Coachella in California and South by Southwest in Texas are drawing a lot of bands, even bands that are suppose to be recording (I'm looking at you WAS and Arctic Monkeys.) It's quite nice in a way. Makes me think that the US should have more festivals. Something like that anyway. It's just been rather funny reading about all of these bands heading over here and releasing albums and the like. I know I complain a lot about bands not coming to the States, so it's a bit hypocritical to complain about the fact that they are coming, but still. I wish they weren't all heading over just for these festivals. Because lord almighty I get bored in the summer when everyone's in Europe and the UK. But at least I'll have good music to listen to.
Oh I've got stuff. Right here in Nore's City. So here's the stuff. There will be an entry after this about the invasion of bands for festivals, but this stuff has nothing to do with that stuff, and the previous stuff involves a lot of stuff. Stuff, stuff, stuff. Oh, and there's a Dr. Who comic too. Very funny. Here comes the stuff!
Dr. Who Comic!! OMG!! (you'll have to click it to make it larger) With much thanks to Behind the Sofa who took it from bentlywg's blog, who got it from mimi-na. Woo. There got everybody. Enjoy!
I'm bored! Entertain me >_0 Elsewise...oh I don't know. I'll torture you with my opinion on the Russian Revolution and World War I including the stuff on the Versailles Treaty (otherwise known as the butt screwing of Germany). I demand entertainment for my poor beleaguered head. It's ever so tired. :dies:
Before I go collapse, here's something I found while I was being a slacker. I think it's only truly funny if you're really into the 10th Doctor, but it's sacrilegious, so that makes it funny too.
The Time Lord's Prayer
Our Time Lord Who art from Gallifrey Ten-Inch be thy name
Thy TARDIS come Time is undone On Earth & across the Universe
Give us this day our pre-danger/mid danger/post-danger hugging And indulge us our 'bigger on the inside' squeeing As we indulge those who *thud* amongst us
For thine is the specs appeal The trouser and the oral (fixation)
Never say 'never ever' The awesome of Rasillon
:giggle: I can't get over ten-inch. I'm such a child! Uhh...now to collapsing. P.S. thanks to nightbeast who posted this in the tennant_love community.
I got my Kaiser book today. This makes me incredibly happy. The thing is stuffed to the brim with quotes from R, which makes me even happier. I'm bringing it to school tomorrow and plan on drooling profusely and making everyone look at it. Oh yes, I am a fangirl. Don't know, don't really care either. I just am. Makes me happy on the inside. Terribly good distraction too. In other KC news, they announced who the supports will be on the NA tour. Unfortunately for me, I got the short end of the stick. The Walkmen and the Annuals. Hopefully I actually end up liking them a bit. I could have had the Little Ones if I lived in a different part of the country, but alas I don't so it doesn't matter. :sigh: I'm working on my writer's notebook at the moment so I'll end this quickly with some neato links. Oh my God it's Charlie!! Or Charlie's cousin...Shuuuuuuuuun Even if it's not exactly canon, it's still Hitchhiker's Now back to my review of Vile Bodies. Oh I do love that book so. Edit: Okay so the Annuals aren't too horrible. but the jury is still out on the Walkmen
God I'm tired. I can't remember whether or not I took a nap or not, but God I'm tired. This song is far too long, I don't care if it's good or not, I can't listen to a song for this long. :skips: God I'm tired. It snowed today which was neat, except mums and I passed 5 accidents on the toll road, which is just ridiculous. I have the suspcion though that there will still be school tomorrow. If there isn't I'll be pleasantly suprised and try my damnedest to get as much work as humanly possible done. But I still don't think there won't be school tomorrow. It's not snowing right now. Looking at radar it doesn't seem like there will be jack tonight or tomorrow morning. Damn and I was so hopeful. I really should go to bed now. I'm so goddamn tired. Goodnight.
Now that I've allowed myself to calm down (while still being inwardly beyond giddy) I'd like to announce a couple of things for those of you who read this blog and are interested in Kaiser Chiefs. First of which is that the band has posted their American tour dates. Today. At 1:09pm (it was on their site, I'm not that scary). :tries not to explode: And they're coming here. As in the 9:30 club. In April. April 7th to be exact. Which is exciting. Very exciting. Very goddamn exciting. THEY'RE COMING BACK, THEY'RE COMING BACK!!! OMG THEY'RE COMING TO THE 9:30 CLUB!!!!! I GET TO RELIVE MY FIRST CONCERT BUT WITH NEW MUSIC!!!!! OMG I'M SO EXCITED!!!!!!!!! :squeals at a painfully high pitch: :scary smile: That's one week and 4 days after the CD is released. I wonder if I'll be able to memorize the whole thing that quickly. This is a real challenge, because I have to know all the words or...Anyway. My other piece of news is that they also posted the video for "Ruby" at 5:51pm on the website. It involves the building of a city around the band and the revealing of Nick's sideburns. I also have to note that sideburns, when in the wind, fly just like the rest of your hair, but it is far more amusing because...because it is. Anyway, it's a fantastic video and if you the directors style you should check out they're website because they've also done videos for Kaiser Chiefs (the second version of IPAR), Franz Ferdinand (This Fire), and The Zutons (You Will, You Won't), among others. Really, fantastic. Sideburns, miniature cities, Ricky. What more could you ask for? So yeah. That's it. I'm an obsessed monkey. Now...to Writer's Notebook!! On a small side, the blog has not been updated since it's first post. Oh how the famous fail at blogging. It's rather amusing.
Actually this is what I do when I don't want to write a conclusion for my IA and I remember somebody posted a link to a youtube search for David Tennant and then I see him in drag and go "ooh" and then find all things related to David Tennant in drag. Anyway...There's a British tellie program called "The Friday Night Project" and Mr. Ten-Inch was on it last week, I believe, and somebody was kind enough to post the whole thing on youtube in five parts. I watched the majority of it and it's all very funny. So you should watch and waste a goodly amount of time. Ten Inch!! Oh Billie Piper is a genius. So here are the links: Part 1, Part 2, Part 3, Part 4, Part 5 Enjoy loves! I have to write that damned conclusion. See, didn't I tell you I was a fangirl?
ZOMG!!! I'VE BECOME A TOTAL DAVID TENNANT FANGIRL!!! OH GOD... When staring at icons of a person is an enjoyable way of wasting time, something is seriously wrong. When this is as equally attractive as this something must have gone haywire. And the fact that I'm willing to waste this much time finding pictures also says something about my character. Uh...too, too horrible darling, too, too horrible.
"I thought we were all driving round and round in a motor race and none of us could stop, and there was an enormous audience composed entirely of gossip writers and gate crashers and Archie Schwert and people like that, all shouting at us at once to go faster, and car after car kept crashing until I was left all alone driving and driving..."
Miss Agatha Runcible from Vile Bodies by Evelyn Waugh. And now dear friends I'm off to the races... By the by today is Ricky's birthday. Happy Birthday R.
:throws large blunt object in random direction: Ha! That's what you get you old maggoty son of a bitch wank. :twitch: And no this has nothing to do with KC and entirely to do with my hormones having a field day with my emotions for no apparent reason. Now where did that I put my spear...
They all look so damn serious and there's Whitey who looks like he's winking, but you can't be too sure. In a very odd way it makes me laugh, because I can't imagine KC being so damn serious. It's kind of like when the Doctor (10th) gets all hyper angry/serious. You can't take it seriously because not two seconds ago he was licking the damn door. :shakes head: At least I know they didn't start out seriously. They started out singing about boobs and booze. Umm...let's see. I got into college. I'm still getting over that damn cold which sucks. I watched "Bright Young Things" which was incredibly enjoyable. Stars Emily Mortimer and David Tennant. Tennant plays a character nicknamed Ginger which just makes me incredibly happy for no real reason. In any event, there's not a lot going on. I do feel like such crap though. And I'm bored. Ugh.
OMFG I GOT INTO COLLEGE!!!!!! I'M NO LONGER A LAME ASS!!!!!! HUZZAH!!!!!!!!!!!!! Yes, dear friends, I got into college. In fact I got into Hollins University which is uber-exciting. Not only is this great new in general, but now I can say with certainty the year I'm going to be graduating in. I'm the class of 2011 bitches! So yeah. I'm in college. Kind of. I'm accepted at least, which is really fucking awsome. I'm going to go collapse now. Stupid cold.
I'm listening to a movement of George Telemann's Canonic Sonatas. Tis pretty and very cool. I'm also going to be doing a presentation on Mr. Telemann sometime soon, and it's nice to listen to the inspiration for acting like a five year-old in music class. Yeah, I think I had a good reason. Anyhoo... I read A Catcher in the Rye in 9th grade and hated it. I hated it because it was a stupid son of a bitch whining about absolutly nothing and then either trying to commit suicide or actually committing suicide, I can't remember at the moment. So when I saw this I smiled because it's true. That's exactly what Holden would have said. If it were at my high school it would, for the majority of the class, be true. For those of us who aren't "goddamn phonies" (uuhh I hate that word) we would all revolt and kill the little wanker. Because you know what? He's the fucking phony. In Kaiser Chiefs news I found two articles about the little so and so's yesterday that I found amusing. First links to them and then the bits I found amusing: Oooooooh: New Kaisers album and Kaiser Chiefs Reveal New Album Details. The first article is from Drowned in Sound which is a British site, while the second one is from Filter Magazine which is American. What I loved about both is that they stick it to KC, but for different reasons. DiS says "So they'd better have something to show for all that time saved flogging the same, tired song for the last two years." The sad bit is that it's true. I've been listening to "Employment" for god knows how long. I have all the lyrics memorized, even "Teammate" which I don't like that much. "Yours Truly, Angry Mob" is very much like Franz Ferdinand's second album in that we, the fans, have been waiting for-fucking-ever for new material. Which leads nicely into my next quote from Filter: "Yours Truly, The Angry Mob will be released globally on February 26th, but sadly North America will have to wait or endure extortionate import prices as it’ll be available here on March 27th." North American fans, who got the first album later and didn't get nearly as many shows as Europe will have to wait longer than the rest of the world. Now I know I've complained about this before, but it doesn't change the facts. The North American fans get the short end of the stick consistantly unless we're willing to either pony up a shitload of money or compromise and deal with bootlegs. Now I have no problem with bootlegs (as a certain folder on my desktop can attest to) but not everyone has the capablities or resources to do as I do. So, not only has everyone had to wait an eternity for new material, but certain geographic areas have to wait longer than the rest of the world. The only bright side? "Yours Truly, Angry Mob" comes out the day after my musical investigation is due. As I said to Ms. Anastasio, it's like a little reward for me. I just wish it came sooner.
So I've listened to this song 6 times (so far) and here's what I've come up with (save the chorus). This is chronological order, which isn't how it's written on the page at the moment, but anyway, onto the song!
Let it never be said that romance is dead... There is nothing I need 'cept the function to breathe But I'm not really fussed, doesn't matter to me... Ruby, Ruby, Ruby, Ruby... Know what you're doing to me... Cuz there' nothing at all, 'cept the space in between Finding out what you're called and repeating your name...
Awwwwwwwwwwwwwww. It's a wuve song!! :huge fucking grin: And it's completely straight forward, except the middle eight which questions the whole thing (Could it be that you're joking with me and you don't really see you and me), but otherwise it's a plain old love song. :huge fucking grin again: I'm so happy. :D and <3 The neatest thing though is that it changes between major and minor, which is just so totally awesome and wonderful. God I love them!!!! Every last heart sick one of them. I'm so happy!!!!!!!! If you want to listen to the song yourself, click on the following link, pick Monday (or latest show) and skip ahead to the 25 mark (should be 19:25:00 or something like that) and you'll hear a bit of background info (about 30secs worth) and then the song. Tis fabulous.
Well it's beginning. Today was the first day single "Ruby" was played on British radio and the single is coming out in a month and 11 days in the UK and shortly thereafter "Yours Truly, Angry Mob" the band's second album will be released every where but North America. North America gets the album March 27th, a day more than a month later than the rest of the world. Now I could complain, bitch and moan and swear not to listen to KC ever again, but it's a bunch of bullshit. This is how the system works and I just have to suck it up. Now why don't I just buy it import? Because I don't know whether my purchase will count towards American sales. I doubt it and so I don't buy import. I want the band (as well as other bands) to realize that they have American fans and that maybe they shouldn't treat us like secondary citizens. Oh well. I can only do my little part. In any event, here's the link to the news item concerning the release of "Truly Yours, Angry Mob" which comes out March 27th. There's a tracklisting which looks exciting. So the slow progression goes. I truly hope they don't disappoint. (As a side note the link page has a music player that starts automatically so unless you want to listen to a Kaiser song, just press the little block to stop it.)
I have two songs vying for attention now: "Sunday, Sunday" by Blur and "Monday" by the Mamas and the Papas. Anyway...onto the entry! Stravinsky, as I may or may not have stated before, is the devil. I have about 2 good partial recordings and one really bad complete recording. I think I'll record it at Nancy's tomorrow or sometime after. I'm not recording it tonight because my mind is about to explode. I'm tired. I'm annoyed with Mums because she's annoying. But "Ruby" is being played tomorrow sometime during Jo Whiley's show so I have something to look forward to. What else? Oh yeah, tomorrow's a blue day which is always a good thing. I'm off to early bed now. Nite.
As we speak I'm "preparing" myself to be initiated into PEO. God help us all. Anyway, KC's website is really up and functioning now. I've saved one of the pictures that's on the site. I've also figured out how to read a "Thank You" list. Or at least, I know Peanut's last name which was a big help. It's kind of cute in a way. But they also have a blog. It's called the "Angry Blog" with a the sub-header reading "Everyday rants from Kaiser Chiefs." I laughed at that. I then preceded to read it and laugh some more. But I figure you should be able to enjoy it yourself so here's the link. Finally here's the picture I saved. Sorry for the quality, it's a screencap from Paint.
In other news I got an email from my admissions counselor at Hollins. Here's the important bit: "Our Admissions Committee will meet to discuss your application and I will be in touch with you in the near future." Oh dear god. That's all I have to say. Now I'm going to play solitaire in preparation for being initiated. Oh, one last thing: Ricky is still a sex god. Yes I've said it; Sex God.
For previous numbers, check out the following entry: 4.23.06 I think there are some other entries about the competition but I'm too lazy to find them. Anyway, here are the numbers as of today:
Icons (because invariably I have more of them than pictures) Dr. Who: 22 (:D and it's only been a few weeks at the most!) Franz Ferdinand: 15 Hitchhiker's: 23 (which is a lot considering how no one makes HHGG icons) Kaiser Chiefs (Ricky): 40 (Fucking Christ I didn't know I had that many) Keane: 12 (they lose) Misc. Bands: 15 (the same as Franz!) Ok Go: 9 (nm, they lose) Random: 42 (huzzah! More than Ricky!) WAS: 9 (oooh it's a tie as to who loses!)
Pictures (where everyone else loses horribly to my obsession with Charles Richard Wilson and his band) Everyone Else: 36 (not bad, considering what's coming next) KC-Ricky: 64 (that's right 16 rows of 4, my fucking god) Killers: 15 (why do I still have this folder? Oh right, Brandon Flowers use to be gorgeous)
Please note that save the icon competition, the competition is only between bands. It's more interesting that way.
Check this. If it doesn't say "0 days to go" and shows like a real website, then you've missed possibly one of the funniest things ever. Well not ever but still pretty damn funny. By the by, it's 12:39pm in London. Which might account for the zero days, but anyway. I find it funny. They've changed it as of 4:31pm EST today. Damn bastards...>_< I want the new website! Oh well...people have made new DW icons so I'll be happy. They updated again (5:37pm EST). I'm just annoyed now. At least I'm listening to "Skip to the End" by Futureheads. Otherwise there'd be shouting.
This is a bit silly considering how 2006 is gone and past, but since I'm listening to good music right now, I thought I might "reveal" my song of 2006. It might come as surprise because it's not by Kaiser Chiefs. In fact it's by the Guillemots. My song of 2006 is "Trains to Brazil." That's it for the second day of 2007.
So I'm nearly done being a spazz. I've diverted my attention from KC to my other main obsession, Dr. Who, all in an effort to avoid Russian political history which is almost the same as Russian history. I've also been listening to things other than KC, such as the Jam, Guillemots, Arctic Monkeys, We Are Scientists, and Arcade Fire. I'm also eating chocolate but that has more to do with Russian political history than KC. In any event, I was reading a review of "The Runaway Bride" (the Dr. Who Christmas special) over at Behind the Sofa and found this to be very amusing. Just one little side note for those not obsessed with Dr. Who: Freema Agyeman is the actress playing the Doctor's new companion. Now onto the quote!
The Bumper Book of Made-Up Doctor Who Facts has this to say about The Runaway Bride: Russell T Davies is now so proud of his own work he's designed his car to look like the TARDIS so he can cause havoc on the motorway, has bought 800 pet spiders, and dresses up as Santa and shoots people, so that he can relive his favourite moments. So far 5 lawsuits have been filed, all by Freema Agyeman. David Tennant has spoken out in his defence, saying "She's just not used to him yet. I almost sued him last year when he came after me with a sword trying to cut off my hand, but then I realised that he was just playing make believe. What a scamp!"
So I've listened to the radio program. These are notes I took. Keep in mind that a) I was hyper and b) I was also answering questions about Russian political history. God my head...
Musicians are huge dorks, no matter what anyone says Not everything the clash did is solid gold good, or even copper good Something happened and I couldn't here it, why isn't there a rewind button? I'm a horrible person on the inside Did I mention musicians are also loons? incoherent loons? Fans are crazy too, including myself because I'm completely loosing it The lead singer for Mumm-Ra sounds like a girl From now on I will always assume that rock musicians are either high or drunk constantly 1990's- You're Supposed to be my Friend Nick-grape/star fruit Ryan Jarman is constantly drunk (at least) "Hey Scenesters!" is a good song nonetheless The Killers? What are they doing playing the Killers????? Random commentary is good (I so totally love Ricky) Do they realize their mics are on? Do they realize how mean they are? Richard Swift - kisses for the misses Ricky likes 17, Scrooged and Wallace and Gromit and hates cheese I suck at solitaire when I'm hyper :dies: No!!!!!! Evil gf Weird music... What is it with obvious sounding synth keyboard? Why does everyone love it so much? Random question: Why would someone read a text that their girlfriend sent them on the radio and then answer it? Ricky and Tapper have the same birthday!! January 17th!! Now I know for certain, since Ricky said it Bye-bye...I'm going to kill the Russians now and their evil history
(Alright I did a little cleaning up for grammar and spelling. I can't help it! I like my entries to be readable.)
[mood| brain dead yet giggly while still being crushed and envious (evil gf)]
I go and listen to Ricky and Nick on BBC Radio 1 (huzzah archives!!) I wanted to post a couple of links. The first isn't so much for the comic (which is alright by Mata standards) but mostly for the "diary" entry. Read and laugh dear friends. The second link has to do with today's lunch conversation, when Mar tried to steal cookies from Matt and failed miserably at being ninja. Anyway, I found it funny and you might too. Have fun dearies! And such is the nature... You fail! Now to R&N...
:sigh: :sigh: :sigh: :sigh damnnit: There. I've emoted. Even though the quality of the pictures are incredibly crappy. And tomorrow I will probably emote some more. Me animal, you animal...
Since I don't know when (or more likely after I started listening to KC) I've been reading This is Fake DIY. They're a neat little outfit that is both entertaining and informative. Sure they don't have all the news and certainly not as quickly as NME but that's all right. They also rarely pay any sort of attention to American bands, save the ones that are in love with the UK or are really big (OK Go, the Killers, etc.) Kirkland Ciccone is my hero and with few exceptions I agree with their reviews. I trust them slightly more than NME but that's mainly because DIY's website is far easier to navigate than NME's. So when DIY suggests a band, I tend to pay attention. It isn't always easy, considering how British bands don't (never) release albums in the UK at the same time as in the US, so some things slip past me. Or I just forget that I was suppose to be paying attention to band X until I'm reminded again. Such a reminder was given to me in DIY's end of the year wrap up. Everyone in the blogosphere does one in one form or another. Most music blogs do a top multiple of 5 list of CDs and/or songs of the year. Most of these lists are extraordinarily similar because everyone in the blogosphere listens to the same kind of music. Or something like that. Anyway, DIY decided to forgo that particular route and instead released a "2006: Top Stuff" list thing. I read this list with much bemusement and partial agreement. Some things I have no opinion because I either didn't see it (Celebrity Big Brother for instance) or couldn't listen to it (Girls Aloud and the Long Blondes' album). And then there was a little reminder in the form of this: "No one buying Duels' album Far be it for DIY to be accused of exaggerating, but 'The Bright Lights And What I Should Have Learned' is a pretty damn ace debut album. Unfortunately, shamefully few people seemed to have caught on to this fact. Even despite 'Brothers And Sisters' shockingly appearing on Final Score on BBC 1. Yes, we know, Duels aren't a band who look like they'd make a good 5-a-side team. Instead, there's always the hope 'What We Did Wrong' features on Strictly Come Dancing." And I thought to myself, "Oh yeah. I meant to listen to that. I read the review. Hmm...I think I'll listen to that." So I have been and DIY is right. And the other thing is, is that they've released singles too, with songs that aren't on the debut. I haven't listened to that yet, but given the album I would be dismayed if it weren't ace too. If you want more information or to read proper reviews from DIY here are the links: Opening for KC (always a good thing) Interview A review of their debut "The Bright Lights and What I Should Have Learned" The omnibus of information on Duels at the DIY site I don't do this too often, unless it's KC. So they must be pretty good right?
It's been a pretty good year for me. I hope it's been a good year for you too. Happy New Year. In just a tick I'm going to off celebrating with my rowdy crew and annoying Diane to no end. :smiles: I'll see you in 2007 (double "o" 7 baby!).
I'm going to be busy tomorrow, or at least not in the mood to post, so I thought I would do a picture dump. There really isn't a theme, except that I'm a huge dork. No new R or KC pictures, so none of that this time. Anyway, enjoy!
Music. My God the music. Yes the majority of the dates are vague (to say the least) but my god look at it. So much to look forward to.
Dr. Who! Yes ladies and gents the good Doctor returns to the BBC in March which means right when I need to be studying I'll be reading recaps from the Doctor Who Reference Guide. Huzzah!
I turn 19. Two more years and I'll get to drink!
The end of January because you see then all (or the majority at least) of the IB shit will be done! Hahahahahahahaha! Then I can start relaxing.
Did I mention all that music? I mean, Kings of Leon, Arcade Fire, Wilco, Maximo Park, Hot Hot Heat (finally), Lily Allen, Clap Your Hands Say Yeah, Blur (though I don't believe that for a minute), Avril Lavigne, Modest Mouse, and Yoko Ono! Christ, that's not even half. So yeah, the music.
KAISER CHIEFS!! Once more with feeling...KAISER CHIEFS!!!! Yeah, I'm excited.
And the Doctor. It won't be shown here (hopefully) until September, but still. It's still 2007 in September.
Well, now that I'm repeating myself I suppose that's it. Feel free to add what you will. Oh...wait. I've got one more
While I listen to some of the music I should have been listening to this year I'd like to give you some interesting things to think about from Tampa Bay Online's "50 Things We Know Now (That We Didn't Know This Time Last Year)" List: 36. DNA analysis determined the British descended from a tribe of Spanish fishermen who crossed the Bay of Biscay almost 6,000 years ago. 38. Most of us have microscopic, wormlike mites named Demodex that live in our eyelashes and have claws and a mouth. 47. A python was the first god worshipped by mankind, according to 70,000-year-old evidence found in a cave in Botswana's Tosodilo hills. 50. Researchers from the University of Manchester managed to induce teeth growth in normal chickens - activating genes that have lain dormant for 80 million years.
I'm still creeped out by the mites in my eyelashes. Number 36 is just ironic though, since the British have something of dislike for the Spanish (though that might not be as true now as it use to be.) Also, in response to 50, I'm hoping that scientist will be able to allow us humans to retain the gills we have when we're in the womb. That and our tails. But that's just me. Well I'm off to clean up what I can off the kitchen. Until then.
Is it really Thursday? Uh...I've done absolutely nothing since...the 22nd in fact. Didn't do anything that day, haven't really done anything since. Christmas went well. The Christmas Eve service was lovely and I seriously thought about killing the person who invented incense. Christmas day was amazingly relaxed. Sophs and I watched some Dr. Who, which I got for Christmas, I ironed napkins and the table cloth. It was all pretty low key compared to Christmases past. I got some really neat stuff. As I said, I haven't been doing jack this week. Well...I've been watching Dr. Who. God I love that show. Christopher Eccleston isn't at all good looking (in my opinion) but he's fantastic on the show. I should do some work, but I know I won't. I'll practice my clarinet though, otherwise mums will yell at me. I'm recording tomorrow at 1pm two of the pieces I'll be sending to colleges and IB. I don't know when I'll record the Stravinsky, but 2 out of 3 isn't bad at all. Anyway, I have to run through those again. R is huge nerd. :) And allergic to milk and has a brother. :) God I love NME. :D :sigh: Umm...go listen to some music. A lot was released this year and a lot of it was really good. So go listen to some music, it'll do you good.
Right, yeah, this is what happens when I'm bored. Have fun: The End of the World - Oh My God. An episode (or partial episode) of first season "Dr. Who" set to KC song "Oh My God" Hitchhiker's Guide to the Galaxy - Oh My God. Bits and pieces from the HHGG movie set to "Oh My God." Are we sensing a theme here? Rose - Every Day I Love You Less and Less. First episode of the first season of "Dr. Who" set to EDILYLAL by KC. Lovely isn't it? Yeah, that's it. Enjoy and happy Christmas Eve.
Hark how the bells, sweet silver bells, all seem to say, throw cares away
Christmas is here, bringing good cheer, to young and old, meek and the bold,
Oh how they pound, raising the sound, o'er hill and dale, telling their tale,
Gaily they ring while people sing songs of good cheer, Christmas is here,
Merry, merry, merry, merry Christmas, Merry, merry, merry, merry Christmas, On on they send , on without end, their joyful tone to every home Dong Ding dong ding, dong Bong
I will try not to update until after Christmas. There is no guarantee. In fact I might update tomorrow. But we'll see. Meanwhile, enjoy "Carol of the Bells" and if you've never heard it before, I suggest you go listen. It's probably one of my favourite Christmas songs. 'Night.
My "protest" has officially ended since I'm currently listening to KC. God I hate my mother for being stupid ass shit who doesn't understand that sociology does not matter. It's a GPA booster. Not turning in one paper isn't going to kill me. Fuck, as long as I turn in the next paper I'll be fine. But no, she has to be a complete bitch so now I'm listening to KC to make me feel better. Damn her for being a bitch and damn them for being my comfort food. Grrr... By the by...Loghman watches "Dr. Who" and Sophs is home. I'm going to go play solitare, in protest.
I have my study materials right in front of me, but for some reason British music news is more important. Hmm... This picture (on the right side of the screen) makes it very hard for me to hate KC. Damn you Richard!! Damn you and you're wonderful good looks! Ugh...I'm so weak. Right so. This Is Fake DIY is having a "Beard of the Year" (as in the facial hair) competition and a couple of weeks ago, after reading about how R was nominated, I decided, "well Simon has a beard too! He had a beard before R did and he looks better with a beard." So I decided to nominate Simon. Today, whilst checking Fake DIY for news (nothing really) I saw that they had an update on the competition. So yeah. 0_0 My name's on the internet! So scary/freaky/exciting. I'm all quoted an everything. God I wish I hadn't nominated Simon. Editor's Note: This does not give anyone any permission for anything. I honestly didn't think it would happen, please do not abuse the knowledge of my real name. Ahhh photosynthesis and cellular respiration. Why do you hate me so?
:screams bloody murder: MARCH!?!?!?!?!?!?!?!?! WHAT THE FUCK IS WITH THAT??? OH AND IT'S A FUCKING MONTH AFTER EVERY-FUCKING-ONE ELSE!!!!!! I CAN'T TAKE THIS!! I CAN'T DO IT, I JUST CAN'T FUCKING TAKE THIS!!!!!!!!!! :violent twitch: That's it damnnit. I'm going on protest. No Kaiser Chiefs for god only knows how long. Oh I'm pissed. So very, very pissed. :twitch: They can just forget about getting any fucking money from me this Christmas. Screw them. Ooooooh I'm pissed. So very pissed. >_0 I read the email. Edit: I know this may seem very hypocritical or very reactionary, but this kind of behaviour, not just from KC, but from a lot of bands has been pissing me off for awhile. The reason I'm so upset about this particular instance is that I've been waiting for this album since August. Many, many people have gotten to hear tracks from this album, all of them from Europe or Asia. As far as I know, no one in the US has gotten to hear them (save the crummy bootlegs from people in Europe). That really pisses me off. The general policy of releasing albums later in the US reallypisses me off. I would also remind you that this is my favourite band. I get to act like a freak about them.
:giggles: I'm all applied to college. :giggles: :D Super happy, happy!! Now the waiting begins... I'm holding off on reading this email Kaiser Chiefs sent me because I'm a sadist. Mostly I'm just not ready I think. I did accidentally read the header though so I know that their new single is "Ruby." Otherwize I know jack shit and plan to keep it that way until I calm down. Which may never happen. Anyway...yeah I'm a sadist And now for your viewing pleasure...Beteigeuze (which I think is Betelgeuse)(also I did the "screen cap" all by myself. Huzzah MS paint!):
:smiles: I finished the Dr. Who recaps. Which means that I now have to actually watch the first season for all of the incredible dialogue and to see what everyone looked like, but yeah. All done. I know everything. In a way. So, anyway, for your viewing pleasure I neat little picture of David Tennant smiling (screencap from Adventures in Time and Space)(and I apologize if Mr. Tennant freaks you out, it's an aquired taste I think):
In other news here's a rather small picture (relatively speaking) of Kaiser Chiefs mark 2. Notice the lack of inappropriate facial hair on a certain band member. Notice, also, how only Peanut is shorter than him. :cries: But I love short men!!! Ooohh creepy headlights and smoke. They're so mature now. :rolls eyes: I should be in marketing.
KAISER CHIEFS TO TOUR USA IN APRIL 2007 PRESENTED BY NME.COM
In April 2007 we will be touring USA in partnership with NME.com to follow the US release of our new album (details of which will follow shortly)
Tickets for these dates are not yet on sale, they'll go on sale in January, but our hook up with NME for the tour (their first Stateside) is confirmed and we can announce the first few dates of the tour which will be:
April 13th New York Roseland Ballroom April 18th Toronto Kool Haus April 20th Chicago Vic Theatre April 27th San Francisco Warfield Theatre Supports and further dates to be confirmed in coming weeks.
I'm crying because my whole is starting to overwhelm me, but I'm smiling at the same time because my boys came through. They have magic mind reading abilities and they knew that their number 1 fan was having a for shit day (or more accurately, night) and so they decided to post the above. Yes there is no DC date, but "Supports and further dates to be confirmed in coming weeks" and "to follow the US release of our new album (details of which will follow shortly)" so I don't really give a flying fuck if I don't actually know when they're coming. They're coming and that's all I really care about. God I'm such a fangirl.
So today I had three tests. 1 in biology, 1 in history, and 1 in music. The bio test was on photosynthesis terms and was a bit harder than I thought it would be. It didn't help that I didn't really study at all, so I suppose it would have been easier if I had. The history test was and essay test on WWI. There were three essay questions and we picked one to write about. We had an hour which was nice. I wrote about three causes of WWI which mimicked my essay that was due today, which was nice. Unfortunately I was half dead by the time I got to history, so my head was starting to feel like like a dead weight which didn't help with my writing. Thankfully it did stop me from pontificating, which is always a good thing. Finally I got to music, feeling completely dead. The test was on Ancient music through the Renaissance, which isn't actually that much. I was completely sure of everything, but I felt prepared enough to guess at what I wasn't completely sure on. The funny thing was that I was tired that I actually asked my teacher if I had to answer the essay questions in complete sentences. The reason this is funny is because actually forming complete sentences was very difficult for me at that point. Thankfully we didn't do anything in chorus. I cleaned the piano and then dozed off for awhile. Now I'm doing absolutely jack shit. My head still feels like a dead weight which is a very peculiar feeling. Anyway...and then my head explodes.
My ribs are being crushed, my ribs are being crushed!! Damn the shortness of my bunk bed and my tallness. And horrible posture. In any event...my ribs are being crushed, my ribs are being crushed!! You may not believe me, but they are!!! Anywho, that's it. Just wanted to say my ribs are being crushed. Because they are. Now I have to finish my really sucky conclusion and hope that nobody notices how absolutly horrible my essay is. :sigh: It wasn't the procrastinating that did me in though. Just the laziness that is coupled with procrastinating. One last thing. WALES!! Or more precisly the areas surrounding the capital of Wales, which is Cardiff. And ya know how I could tell? The strangly named town/city/things around the main bunch of marker pins. Oh yeah, I'm this big a dork.
This is becoming something of a theme. Writing while procrastinating. Procrastinating is just a horrible habit I can't seem to break. Anyway...onto the procrastinating! This is why I love This is Fake DIY. So irreverent, yet so serious at the same time. Besides, it shows just how sad fangirls are. And also that Serge is not good looking or particularly cool unless he's been made up in paint. Also, I did go and look at the picture of R for like a split second before I started inwardly screaming, so I can't say whether or not he looked anything like James Dean. I suppose I'll go back to get the link for y'all (because I know you look at all the pictures [stares at Mar]) but even then I hopefully won't be looking at the photo (huzzah for two hands!). Scary bearded Ricky. Instructions: Click "Enter." On the bottom there will be choices. Click "Gallery." If doesn't automatically go to the Ray Ban gallery, click "Wayfarer Sessions." Now only a true, obsessive fangirl would know this, but without even clicking on the picture, I knew R was the second person. So, on the right side of the screen there will be a little sheet with very hard to discern thumbnails of the people Mr. Rock took pictures of. R is the second person on the first row. If you wish to scare the bejeezus out of yourself, feel free to click. If you'd like to remember R when he looked like this for the love of god do not click the thumbnail! :) That's all for now mes petites. I've got some more work to do. Damn you Mrs. Croon! By the by, I'm so completely obsessed with Dr Who. Like completely. Rather exciting. I've never fangirled about anything fictional. :)
So I've been obsessively reading "Dr. Who" recaps for the past week or so. I actually watched an episode yesterday which was quite exciting. Not enough David Tennant, but I'll live. I think this will become a regular thing, watching "Dr. Who." Hopefully it will make a tad more sense once I get through the recaps of season one. I've gotten through season two recaps, but there's a lot from season one that I need to know to have everything gel, so I gotta read those. But yeah...it just proves that me and the British get along very well when it comes to scifi and fantasy. Too bad "Dr. Who" isn't a book with a definitive author because then I could add that person to my list of favourite authors. Oh well. It's a brilliant show nonetheless. :happy face: In any event not a lot happening here. I've got three tests to study for, all on Tuesday, which I haven't actually been studying for. I'm suspecting that the essay I have due for history on Tuesday will help with the test that day so I'm not too, too worried about that one. I'm worried about the bio term quiz and my evil procrastinating ways. I am glad though that I got some clarinet practice in since I have my lesson tomorrow. But yeah, I'm thinking I'm just going to have to seal myself off from my computer to avoid reading recaps, because knowing me I will do anything to avoid that paper and my bio homework. We shall though, we shall see. By the by, can you believe it's almost two weeks until Christmas? I can't even believe it's December let alone almost Christmas. Man this year has gone by quickly.
